God Bless America Day 2009
While the event advertised below has already taken place, you will find a summary of our God Bless America Day 2009 festivities in
this news article.
Woodbine invites you to come and enjoy God Bless America Day on July 5, 2009.
Our doors will open at 9 a.m. for the following:
- Viewing the following displays:
- The Hall of Honor
- The Combat Airmen Joshua’s Troops Memorabilia
- Meeting and talking with our special guests:
Our special worship service will then begin at 10:30 a.m. The service will include the following:
- a salute to American military personnel, both past and present
- Author Mary Nahas (Journey of Private Galione) will share with us her father’s story.
- Pastor Darrell Brumfield from Ellisboro Baptist Church, a former Battalion Chaplain in Iraq, will bring a message from God’s Word.
- Special music will be provided by the following:
- The Woodbine Choir
- Sarah Pruitt, Soloist
- Tammy Oakley, Soloist
- Charles Stovall, Soloist
The National Guard Honor Guard, Supplied by the 732nd Forward Support Company, and their commander, Captain/CPT Michael A. Taft, and Readiness NCO, Sergeant 1st Class Billy J. Hill, will demonstrate a Presentation of Colors, 21-Gun Salute, Taps, and placing of a commemorative wreath.
Following the service, the members of Woodbine invite all in attendance to an "All Americal Lunch", complete with Hot Dogs and Apple Pie.

* We have been notified by Mr. Alberty's caregiver that he is in poor health and may not be able to attend "God Bless America" Day. Please be in prayer for him, regardless of whether he may be able to attend this event!
